The tumor suppressor protein p53 plays a major role in cell cycle control, apoptosis and senescence. Our p53-Trap N-term is a high quality p53 N-term-binding protein coupled to a monovalent matrix (agarose beads) for biochemical analysis of p53 and interacting partners. Note that binding of p53-Trap N-term interferes with binding of Mdm4/HdmX to p53.
Use p53 N-term-Trap for:
- Immunoprecipitation (IP)/ Co-IP
- Mass spectrometry
Immunoprecipitations of p53 from human cells expressing p53. Input (I), non-bound (FT) and bound (B) fractions were separated by SDS-PAGE followed by Coomassie staining and Western Blotting. The bound fraction of the conventional p53 antibodies shows in addition to p53 contaminating heavy chain and light chain. The bound fraction of the p53-Trap does not contain these contaminating polypeptide chains.
